Recent Grand Hotel Continental Review: "We just returned from our 10 day trip to Italy. We left Rome for one day and went to Siena. We were told before going not to take a taxi from the train station...we did anyway with the assistance of a friendly traveler who joined us in the taxi. He informed us to make sure you tell the driver to run the meter! When we arrived at our hotel the front desk told us it would 5 - 10 minutes until our room was ready. 2 minutes later we were personally escorted to our room. The woman who escorted us offered to give us a detailed tour of our room, which we declined but felt the hotel was already going over and above. We spent most the time outside the hotel but did come back for an evening drink and dessert. The bartender recommended wines based on what we like which were superb and the dessert was amazing! We definately would stay their again due to the location (a 2-3 minute walk to Piazza del Campo) and the service we received. We cannot wait to return!"
